After Care

TattoosPiercings
  • Once your tattoo is complete Duran will cover your tattoo, leave the cover on the tattoo as to keep any air-borne bacteria from landing on your tattoo area, which at this point is an open wound. It is best to leave the cover on your tattoo for 5 hours at minimum. You’ll be urged to show everyone your new tattoo but you really need to keep it covered in the beginning.
  • After your skin has calmed down from all the needle excitement, you can remove the cover. When you do , it’s a good idea to lightly clean your tattoo. Use luke warm water and a very mild soap. Just use your hand to lightly clean the area.
  • Be sure to pat-dry your tattoo with a clean towel. After you have got the tattoo area completely dry, we recommend you apply a thin layer of Fantasy Fix Tattoo Balmonto your tattoo 3-4 times a day (our balm aids in the healing process & keeps the tattoo moist).
  • After a while you may notice some skin peeling; this is not bad!! Remember not to soak your tattoo in water.
  • While your tattoo is healing avoid wearing any tight clothing that could rub against the tattoo .
  • If your tattoo itches, DON’T PICK AT IT, DON’T SCRATCH IT! It sometimes helps to slap your tattoo a bit if the itching is driving you crazy.
  • If you follow our instructions, it will assist you in a quick healing process and an attractive tattoo. The life of your tattoo depends on the care it receives within the first few weeks.
  • The healing time for a tattoo is  usually  2-3 weeks, but this can vary from person to person.
  • Your piercing should be cleaned 2-3 times a day using our “Healing Packs”.
  • For oral piercings we recommend that you use betadine mouthwash, rinse your mouth with clean water after meals and suck on an ice cube to assist with the swelling.
  • The healing time for piercings varies with each piercing, we do not recommend changing the jewellery within the first 6 weeks.
